====================================
Over the last 30 years, exoplanet surveys have uncovered thousands of planets rich in diversity. These discoveries help place the Solar System in context and inform our understanding of how planets form and evolve. Finding large numbers of planets also enables demographic studies of planet populations, through which we can discover which types of planets are more common than others and find correlations between planet abundance and the properties of stars. I will highlight contributions to the field of exoplanet demographics, from large and small planets around Sun-like stars with NASA?s Kepler mission and its implications for the search for other Earths, to the exciting potential of NASA?s TESS mission to explore planets around more diverse stellar populations - and even planets orbiting no stars at all. Finally, I will identify a set of important open questions that remain to be answered and outline future goals to push the field of demographics to new frontiers.

.

______________________________

Detailed information available can be found at https://www.triumf.ca/research-program/lectures-conferences/upcoming-seminars-lectures
