The console computer (ag.triumf.ca) has been upgraded to new hardware,
running SL 5.3.
EVO seems to work OK (sound, video).
However, I have not restored all the desktop icons or browser bookmarks -
keeping the original home directory is problematic especially if
SElinux attributes are wrong/missing
Acroread, OpenOffice and Flash are included in the default installation.
I have not installed/checked other applications (viewers for movies,
LaTeX DVI etc.)
The previous home directory is saved at /home/ag1 - hence anything left
on the previous desktop is in /home/ag1/Desktop etc.
The displays are now unhooked - the projectors are on one display, and
the LCD panel is another. Move the mouse up from the LCD onto the
projectors. Applications started on one display stay there. This is
similar to room 223 and the MOB.
Please let me know of any omissions or problems.
Coincidentally, the computer used to program the echo canceller has
failed. It is not needed for normal operation, but is used to check and
adjust sound levels on the different inputs.
The console computer (Linux) is using the black Dell keyboard and mouse.
