The good, the bad, and the ugly ..
ISAC2 Video Room (222):
- The VGA converter (which allowed a laptop output to be displayed as
NTSC video) has been removed. No-one ever used it to my knowledge, and
the connections were getting kicked to death under the table.
- The laptop audio cable (allows laptop sound to play through the room
speakers) was damaged. It is now repaired.
- The Shure microphone (table mic for EVO) was not working. It should be
now. It probably stopped working when I disconnected the muting controls
(an unused feature that left the sound system glitched after every power
outage). The light is still off, though.
- some wires under the table have been tidied up
Auditorium:
The sound system was making an odd "bip, bip" noise today. Power-cycling
the echo canceller failed to fix this so I turned off the amplifier.
Right now, there is no audio for conferencing or playing DVDs in the
auditorium.
