Dear TRIUMF Users, Experimenters, Operators and Personnel,
The Final Beam Schedule (for ISAC and BL2C) for spring 2011 (Beam
Schedule 119a) is now posted on the web at
https://mis.triumf.ca/science/schedules.jsf under "Actual Schedules".
Schedule 119 is being split in two parts - Schedule 119a (April 1st -
May 31st) and Schedule 119b (June 1st - September 22nd). /Please note
that Schedule 119b is under "Drafts" on the same page and will be
updated in the next couple of weeks./
For BL1A (hence all M-channels) there is, at present, some uncertainty
with respect to start of operation, due to beam line installation and
vacuum issues. It is presently possible that we will only start
operation of BL1A ~August 10th, 2011. Because of this we are considering
the option of *not* having a mini-shutdown in September. When this is
known, we will iterate it in Schedule 119b. /
/If you are scheduled on Schedule 119a, please go ahead and book your
travel and make your TRIUMF House reservations. If you are listed on
Schedule 119b, please hold off on booking your travel and making your
TRIUMF House reservations until the schedule has been finalized.
Please note that if you have beam time on Schedule 119a (and 119b when
it is finalized), the Science Division will need your Safety Report
**two weeks** before the experiment is scheduled to run. Safety Reports
should be submitted to sciencediv at triumf.ca. If a spokesperson(s) or
safety coordinator fails to hand in (or email) the Safety Report before
the two week deadline, then the beam time allocated to their experiment
will not be guaranteed.
Regards and thanks for your patience,
Niki Martin
