Dear TRIUMF Experimenters and Staff,

The draft of Beam Schedule 139 for the period of October 21st, 2020 to December 21st, 2020 is now available online at https://mis.triumf.ca/schedule/view?schedule=139&revision=PUBLIC_DRAFT. Iain McKenzie and Mike Trinczek drafted the Meson Hall schedule and I am responsible for the cyclotron, ISAC, and OLIS schedules. The final overall schedule will be approved for publication by Jens Dilling, ALD PSD.

Users can expect minor revisions to occur before the schedule is finalized, which is intended to be by Friday October 2nd, after which the draft will be promoted to active status. Please send me any comments directly before then.

ISAC Schedule:

Due to the unique nature of the operating conditions this year, we have developed the ISAC schedule based on experiments or beam development activities that were either (a) originally planned in Schedule 138 but which had to be cancelled for operational reasons, or (b) were originally requested for Schedule 138 but not scheduled. In doing so we also limited the scope to experiments which are considered able to be run successfully with on-site/local support and execution in combination with components of remote running (where possible), given the current quarantine restrictions on international travelers and TRIUMF's COVID-19 Return to Site regulations. All considerations were weighted with SAP-EEC priorities.

CMMS:

There is some time available on M20/LAMPF. This can be used by experiments with approved shifts or by rapid access experiments. Please contact Iain McKenzie directly if you would like some of this beam time. This can be used either by local users or by remote users collaborating with CMMS staff and/or local users. The assignment of the beam time will be based on MMS-EEC priorities.

Please send me your comments or concerns directly (ruiz at triumf.ca<mailto:ruiz at triumf.ca>).

Yours sincerely,

Chris Ruiz – Beam Scheduler
