REMINDER: Call for Beam Requests: Schedule 143 AND Safety Reports Schedule 142

[TRIUMF Physical Sciences]

Dear TRIUMF Users and Experimenters,

This is a reminder that the deadline for submission of Beam Requests for Schedule 143 is firm tomorrow, August 10th, at 23:59 PDT. Please read the attached memo from the Beam Schedulers and refer to the email chain below for information.

This is also a reminder regarding the submission of Safety Reports for experiments on the current Beam Schedule 142:


  *   Experimenters are responsible for submitting Safety Reports in a timely manner. To allow for adequate time for review, safety reports MUST be submitted to sciencediv at triumf.ca<mailto:sciencediv at triumf.ca> at least two (2) weeks in advance of the scheduled beam time in order to guarantee that beam time.
     *   µSR experimenters must also include a Sample Handling Form with their safety report (attached and available here<https://documents.triumf.ca/docushare/dsweb/Get/Document-24820/%C2%B5SR%20Sample%20Handling%20Disposition%20form%20v.5.pdf>).
  *   Facility Coordinators and/or Safety Reviewers may request that Safety Reports be submitted earlier than the two (2) weeks in advance deadline. Experimenters will be contacted if that is the case and experimenters are required to submit by the deadline specified.
  *   TRIUMF reserves the right to withhold beam time if safety reports are missing or incomplete.

When you have read the memo, please continue to the "Experimenter's Dashboard" at https://mis.triumf.ca/science/dashboard.jsf and login with your TRIUMF Login. If you prefer to submit your beam request directly through the Beam Request Application, it can be found at https://mis.triumf.ca/science/beam/request/home.jsf.

The deadline for beam requests is firm on Wednesday, August 10th, at 23:59 PDT.
