Summer 2024 NP-EEC Announcement

Dear TRIUMF Users, Experimenters, and Staff,


TRIUMF's Nuclear Physics Experiments Evaluation Committee (NP-EEC) will hold an in person (virtual link also available) meeting on July 22nd and 23rd, 2024. The meeting will be held in-person / hybrid in the TRIUMF Main Office Building Conference Room. Due to the capacity of this room, experiment spokespersons only are invited to present in-person if they can be at TRIUMF. A remote link will be provided for viewers to attend the public portions of the meeting.



The following types of submissions will be accepted:

  1.
Progress Reports for H-priority proposals that will expire at the January 2024 meeting (proponents will be contacted directly). These experiments must request that their unused expired shifts be reinstated if they wish to continue.
  2.
New regular Letters of Intent (where beam or facility development is required; no shifts are requested).
  3.
Existing Letters of Intent that have had beam developed and wish to upgrade to a Full Proposal.
  4.
New Proposals.



Anyone wishing to submit a Proposal or Letter of Intent must contact Lauren Gorman  via sciencediv at triumf.ca<mailto:sciencediv at triumf.ca> by 16:00 PST Wednesday, June 5th to request an experiment number. Any requests received after that time will not be processed. Once an experiment number has been assigned, submissions should be made through the Science Applications Portal, accessible via https://mis.triumf.ca/science/index.jsf .



The deadline for submission of Progress Reports, Letters of Intent, & Proposals is Wednesday, June 12th at 23:59 PST.
