Panel Volunteers needed for Nov 10th

Dear GAPS,

Student Programs will be hosting 60 students organized by the UBC Undergraduate Physics Society on Monday, November 10th from 1pm to 4pm. They will do staggered tours of the lab, ending in the Auditorium. Like last year, we would like to run a panel discussion from 2:30pm to 4:00pm with four GAPS members on the panel, and possibly one as host if anyone would like to take on that role.

It is a general discussion on your background and how you ended up at TRIUMF and what you see as possible futures for research and/or industry. I send prep materials on asking panel questions so folks were quite keen to get involved last year and it was a great time.

Please let me know if you could be a panel member or would like to be the host and I will work on a ‘first-come' basis until spots are filled:

  *   4 x panel member
  *   1 x panel host

Free Food! We will also buy any participants lunch that day so there is a bit more incentive than just inspiring the next generation.
