I checked the license-server and there were a few licenses that have
been held for several weeks. For one of these, I was able to determine
that the mathematica process had actually crashed so I checked the
license-server options. The timeout was not set. I fixed that and
restarted the license server.
Most of the Mathematica licenses are now available. Those with existing
mathematica instances open may get a message asking to reconnect to the
license server.
We aren't tracking the license usage carefully, to appreciate hearing
when you are unable to open mathematica so that we can determine if
TRIUMF needs to purchase extra licenses.
