Dear Colleagues,

Following up on our meeting on Thursday, I did find out a few more points that were raised about Jens’ departure


  *   Petr will act as deputy until August 1st while Jens is on leave, then will pick up the interim role after August 1st, so, effectively he’ll be in charge from Monday, but with Jens’ support for the rest of this month and after as interim.
  *   Petr and Nigel were given hiring memos for PSD by Jens which outlines the ALPHA BAE position as the highest priority hire for PSD. Petr agreed he will carry out this priority plan in the interim (it also includes a UCN position later on)
  *   As for Jens’ replacement, the plan is supposedly not clear yet but Nigel will attend the Mixer on Friday and can answer questions

We will have our next Particle Physics Meeting on Thursday July 8th at 12:30pm.

Since the first phase of the TRIUMF’s 20 year vision process is completed we thought it would
be good to have a discussion on the summaries from the four PP related Topical Groups. The idea is to
identify overlaps and common themes and have a pre-(internal) discussion before Science Week in August.

We will have four presentations on summaries from four Topical Groups followed by some discussion.
