Dear Colleagues,

Please join tomorrow for the ACOT Particle Physics/Science & Technology/Scientific Computing parallel session in the MOB Conference Room.
I understand it is an in person meeting and the teams link that we will use is the committees link only.

The session starts at 9:30am. I learnt a few more things:

  * The committee has their next session at 11:30, so we potentially can run over the 90min, up to 2h - but that includes their coffee break so please try to stay within your allocated time. No need to go through all the bullets if you have a lot of details as we will make the slides available to ACOT.
  * Sally Seidel might not be able to join. Instead Hideto En’yo from Riken will be joining our session.

Thanks to Andrea, we will use a single pdf file to save time and just swap speakers (except for TUCAN, so we can see their animations).
Andrea will put the final slides at https://indico.triumf.ca/event/610/ under ACOT final slides once all the slides are uploaded.
I will download the files to the MOB Conference room computer tonight.

Best wishes,
Oliver

Subject: ACOT parallel session
Dear Colleagues,

We just learnt over the weekend, that there will be ACOT Parallel sessions on November 19th 9:30-11:00.
As before this is a combined session Particle Physics/Science & Technology/Scientific Computing.

This is the day after the presentations by Nigel and Division Directors on November 18th.

Since our committee member (Sally Seidel) is new, we should go through all projects. At the same time we are asked to focus on activities in the next 5YP 2025-2030 + shutdown plans at TRIUMF and CERN. Here is a preliminary agenda. It’s pretty tight, so I would ask not to have more slides than number of minutes assigned. Can you suggest a speaker for your project by tomorrow please? Apologies for the short notice.

Best, Oliver

  *   Particle Physics (Intro 5+3min)
  *   Scientific Computing 7+3min
  *   Science & Technology (Intro + shutdown plans 15+5min)

Project updates with focus on goals for next 5YP 2025-2030 + shutdown plans at TRIUMF and CERN

  *   ATLAS (5+3)
  *   T2K/Hyper-K (5+3)
  *   TUCAN (5+3)
  *   ALPHA/ALPHA-G/HAICU (5+3)
  *   SuperCDMS (3+2)
