You are invited to bring out your competitive side and join us on a Virtual Science Week Scavenger Hunt!

With COVID restrictions keeping us from meeting in person we have no choice but to stay online, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun while we do it! Much like it’s traditional in-person cousin, the Virtual Scavenger Hunt will challenge you to follow the clues and solve the puzzles before the allotted time runs out.

In the Science Week Scavenger Hunt, there are 10 clues in total and you will see a complete list of them upfront. Each clue will give you a tip on where to search for a QR code. When you find one, scan the QR code using the camera on your phone and get points! Some QR codes have a set time limit – to create that sense of urgency and competition 😉 – and others will be available for the entire day. A real-time, interactive leaderboard will tell you your total score, and the winner will be declared solely on the total number of points! There are prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!

Here are some important details for the Science Week Scavenger Hunt:
• The Scavenger Hunt will start on Monday, August 16, at 8:00am and it will end on Tuesday, August 17, at 5:00pm.
• You need to utilize your camera on your phone to scan a QR code. You will also need an app to compete (see attached PDF for details)!
• All the QR codes can be found on presentations, posters, and/or events.
• A QR code can be used only once, meaning it will satisfy only one item on the scavenger hunt list.
• Now for the most important detail of all – have FUN!
