Topics for Grad/Postdoc Portions of ACOT Parallel Sessions

GAPS members,



TRIUMF will be holding the biannual ACOT meeting in just over a month from April 22-24. The Advisory Commitee on TRIUMF (ACOT) advises TRIUMF's leadership team and holds a series of meetings over a few days every year to gauge the status of things at the lab. This includes parallel sessions within seven distinct areas that are open to all members that fall under that area. At the end of each parallel session, 15 minutes have been set aside for grads and post-docs to meet with the ACOT members of their respective area.



ACOT has requested that students and post-docs prepare a few slides to summarize the topics and issues they would like to bring up and discuss with them. TRIUMF management has asked the GAPS Committee to help organize this effort, and we're subsequently reaching out to you for your thoughts!

These could be research-related (i.e. availability of lab space, on-site scheduling during COVID, etc.) or more generally about life at TRIUMF as a grad student or postdoc. If you're interested in helping us prepare further for these sessions, please reach out and let us know; there's a spot to indicate this in the form as well. Again, ACOT has specifically requested for these grad/postdoc only sessions, and thus want our honest, genuine feedback, so do not hesitate to share any concerns you have.
