It's snowing. Due to the weather, the AoT team has decided that it would be wise to reschedule the event to Thursday, Jan. 31. Please pass this message along so that no wandering soul ends up at Bimini's questioning life tonight.

Hello TRIUMF community,

On behalf of the Astronomy on Tap Vancouver team we would like to invite you to an evening of exciting science presentations on space and science, games, and prizes!

When: Wednesday Jan. 17, 6:30pm
Where: Bimini's Pub & Lounge

Here's a little bit about the mission of AoT:

"Each (usually free) event features accessible, engaging science presentations on space and science topics ranging from planets to black holes to galaxies to the beginning of the Universe, along with trivia and other games, prizes, music, and more surprises! Presenters are from typically from local research and educational institutions, but may also include visiting scientists, educators, artists, and more. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably tag along for the fun."

We are excited to hear from the following speakers from the UBC PHAS department and TRIUMF:
Dr. Ryley Hill: “Studying galaxies in the early Universe with the James Webb Space Telescope”
Maude Larivière: “A hidden history of women in astronomy”
