Hi everyone,
We are thrilled to announce a special colloquium in the MOB Auditorium (and online) on Friday May 30th from 2:30pm! We are screening Picture a Scientist<https://www.pictureascientist.com/>, a documentary filmed in 2020 to highlight persisting gender inequalities in science, followed by facilitated discussions. Light refreshments will be served. You can find the event details and zoom link below.
We encourage everyone to join us for both the screening and discussions! Please familiarize yourself with the GAPS Code of Conduct<https://gaps.triumf.ca/code-of-conduct> before attending to ensure our event is enjoyable and respectful for all.

Abstract: Join us for a screening of the documentary Picture a Scientist, followed by an engaging and interactive discussion. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Documentary description: “PICTURE A SCIENTIST chronicles the groundswell of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists. Biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from brutal harassment to years of subtle slights.
