[Triumf-linux-managers] FYI - Microsoft Web fonts

FYI

At some point Microsoft released their "core web fonts" (Arial etc.) as a 
free download. I think they disappeared from microsoft.com, but have been 
floating around the Net since. RedHat of course don't include them since 
they are not GPL'd. I played with them a few* years ago with mkfontdir 
etc. but it wasn't entirely trivial and I forgot about it until my 
daughter needed to move a document from her sister's XP box to her FC1 
box.

I found an RPM that installs nicely on RedHat -
Arial, Trebuchet, Verdana etc. show up in OpenOffice and other
applications. So you can edit Word documents that were written using
them, and view certain Web pages without font substitution.
