[Triumf-linux-managers] FYI - mosh (mobile SSH)

FYI

I read an article recently about "mosh", possibly
http://www.linuxscrew.com/2012/04/11/why-mosh-is-better-than-ssh/
http://www.arnnet.com.au/article/429832/mit_researchers_chart_new_approach_mobile_internet_protocols/?fp=4&fpid=56736#closeme
http://www.net-security.org/secworld.php?id=13214

Mosh is from MIT (http://mosh.mit.edu/) and available in standard
repositories. Somehow it would make more sense on Android and as an
iPhone app, but I don't see that on the MIT site.

I installed it on trcomp01/02 for the benefit on anyone that wants to
play.

I tried to build it under Fedora Core 9 on my laptop, but met the usual
old-wine-new-bottles problems. However, the SL5 binary runs OK with an
extra library. I will probably use it via the 3G connection on my
cellphone next week, which is the sort of connection it's supposed to be
good for.
