There are a few caveats to mosh that so far have prevented me from using it.

1) the EPEL mosh on Linux refused to work with mosh for MacOS (version mismatch)
2) LANG has to be set to UTF8 locale, this broke a few (unspecified) applications
3) there is no X11 forwarding (show stopper)
