Title: Analogue electronics and signal processing for ATLAS LAr calorimetry
Abstract: The ATLAS LAr calorimeters are novel detectors designed to operate in high radiation environment. The readout electronics has to provide a fast response, low level of noise and wide dynamic range at high ionization rate. After a brief summary of the operating conditions of ATLAS LAr calorimeters, I will review the preamplifiers design and signal shaping techniques chosen for electromagnetic and hadronic sections. I will descrbe also the principle of optimal filtering implemented at the level of digital signal processor. The calibration of calorimeters requires precision model of electronics chain. I will present a signal reconstruction technique recently developed and used for analysis of beam tests data of the hadronic endcap calorimeter.
