Title: Cold atoms and neutrons: variations on a theme
Abstract: Ultracold atomic gases and low-density neutron matter are unique in that they exhibit pairing gaps comparable to the Fermi energy: these are the largest in the laboratory and in nature, respectively. This strong pairing regime requires non-perturbative treatments. In this talk I will describe Quantum Monte Carlo results that can lead to understanding the properties of these systems, including unpolarized and polarized matter. Time permitting, I will also describe recent work on cold atom physics with many-species.
