Title: Status of Rare Isotope Science Project (KoRIA)

Abstract: The Rare Isotope Science Project (RISP) has been launched in December 2011. The accelerator for the rare isotope science, which was named as KoRIA previously, utilizes both two typical RI production methods: 70 kW ISOL (isotope separator on-line), and 400 kW IF (in-flight fragmentation), in order to produce RI beams with high purity and high intensity near the neutron-rich drip line. A number of intense RI beams, e. g. about 10^9 pps for 132Sn in the energy range from 0 to 250 MeV/u, will be provided at the experimental halls for research. Various research facilities have been designed for the planned research subjects, which are Recoil Separator, Large Acceptance Multipurpose Spectrometer, Precise Isotope Mass Measurement System with Trap, Atomic Spectroscopy System, Beta-Nuclear Magnetic Resonance facility, etc. Current status of RISP will be presented.

Stimulants available 15 minutes before the talk.
