Title:     Calculations of the He3(alpha,gamma)Be7 and H3(alpha,gamma)Li7 reactions for astrophysics

Abstract: The He3(alpha,gamma)Be7 and H3(alpha,gamma)Li7 radiative-capture processes are key reactions to evaluate the primordial 7Li abundance in the universe. In addition, the He3(alpha,gamma)Be7 capture cross sections are essential to determine which fraction of pp-chain terminations results in solar Be7 neutrinos. In this talk, I will present the astrophysical S factors at low collision energies obtained for theses reactions within a no-core shell model with continuum approach, based on a renormalized chiral nucleon-nucleon interaction. A comparison with the experimental data -some obtained recently at TRIUMF- will be done. If time allows, the extension of this approach to the description of other electromagnetic transitions, like the nucleus-nucleus bremsstrahlung, will be discussed.
