Title:     Extracting Higgs boson couplings from LHC data

Abstract: The Higgs boson is supposedly the particle in the Standard Model responsible for giving mass to all the other fundamental particles.  To test this proposition, we need to measure the interaction strengths of the Higgs with other particles and see if they correspond to the measured particle masses.  In this talk I'll review some of the technical challenges faced when trying to extract the Higgs boson's couplings to other particles and describe how studying concrete models with extended Higgs sectors can help.
