Title: Precision cosmic ray isotope measurements of HELIX in the multi-messenger era

Abstract: Recent precise measurements of anti-particles and light nuclei by the satellite experiments PAMELA and AMS-02 challenge the classical paradigm of Galactic cosmic-ray astrophysics. To make sense of these new discoveries, it is essential to develop a better understanding of how cosmic rays propagate in our Galaxy. HELIX, a magnet spectrometer with a 1 Tesla superconducting magnet, a multi-layer gas tracker, and an innovative aerogel RICH detector, is designed to provide one of the key measurements to study the cosmic ray propagation: the flux of the clock isotope 10^Be. With multiple flights in different detector configurations, HELIX will provide the 10^Be measurements up to 10 GeV/n with better mass resolution than the existing measurements. In this seminar, I will present the design, the current status of instrumental development, and the future plans for HELIX. I will summarize the current status of Galactic cosmic ray propagation studies through multi-messenger (gamma rays and neutrino) observations and provide perspectives for potential future measurements.
