Title:     Designing readout chips for the ATLAS strip tracker

Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the ATLAS Phase 2 upgrade silicon strip tracker, looking at it from the front-end ASICs point of view.  The system design considerations, including Single Event Effect (SEE) mitigations, will be discussed.
