Title:     CoViD-19  modelling from a physicist's perspective

The CoViD-19 epidemic is unlike anything we have experienced before. When presented with a new or complex situation,  it is the nature of a physicist to develop models as simplified representations and to challenge those models with data in order to learn more about the system. This approach applies to the process of understanding the complex nature of viral spread. In this talk I will share my experience in engaging with the epidemiological community and present this physicist's perspective on CoViD-19. A general purpose framework for modelling and data analysis is now available for other physicists to use, to improve our collective insight about the past, present, and future of the epidemic.
